Job summary

QTS Realty Trust is seeking a Cost Control Manager to lead construction budgeting from inception to completion. You will validate change orders, coordinate with project teams, and monitor cash flow and vendor invoicing to ensure financial alignment with contracts.

Ideal candidates bring extensive construction cost control experience, strong collaboration and leadership skills, and proficiency with Workday, Procore, and related tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, financing, or accounting or relevant professional experience.
• Advanced knowledge of construction contract documents and change management.
• Proficiency in financial and project management software (e.g., Workday, e-Builder, Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud).
• Ability to lead and mentor others.

Responsibilities

• Examine construction contract documents and ensure compliance with the contract and laws.
• Evaluate change requests and monitor buyout savings with project team input.
• Review pay applications, verify documentation, reconcile budgets and inform management.
• Initiate purchase orders for vendors and ensure invoices meet terms.
• Provide detailed monthly cash flow projections to capital and investment teams.
• Review potential change orders and substantiate claims with cost data.
