Job summary

Century Group is partnering with a client to fill the Senior Cost Accountant role. This position focuses on cost accounting, inventory accounting, and financial reporting for a manufacturing environment, with a starting base salary of $115,000 to $125,000 per year.

You will lead month-end processes, prepare journal entries, reconcile accounts, and collaborate with operations and leadership to drive cost improvements and accurate reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 5+ years of accounting experience in corporate or manufacturing.
• Strong cost accounting, inventory accounting, and financial reporting knowledge.
• Advanced Excel skills; experience with ERP systems.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manage cost accounting activities including inventory accounting, cost analysis, and financial reporting for manufacturing operations.
• Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close.
• Monitor inventory transactions, investigate variances, and communicate issues to management.
• Lead physical inventory planning, coordination, reporting, and reconciliation.
• Partner with operations, tax, finance, and leadership to provide financial analysis and decision support.
