Job summary

Century Group is seeking a Senior Cost Accountant to join their Orange County-based team. The role focuses on overseeing cost accounting activities, inventory valuation, and cost optimization for manufacturing operations.

The candidate will lead month-end close, develop cost models, and provide actionable profitability analyses. Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and 5+ years of cost accounting experience in manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in cost accounting, manufacturing finance, or related role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, cost accounting methodologies, and financial reporting.
• Experience with manufacturing environments, inventory accounting, standard costing, and variance analysis.

Responsibilities

• Oversee cost accounting activities, including inventory valuation, cost tracking, reconciliations, and financial reporting for manufacturing operations.
• Lead month end close with journal entries, account analyses, and supporting schedules for accurate reporting.
• Develop and maintain cost models, profitability analyses, and operational reporting for strategic decisions.
• Analyze production costs, variances, inventory activity, and performance to identify risks and improvements.
• Partner with operations, engineering, supply chain, and finance to support cost optimization and cross-functional initiatives.
