Job summary

Nicor Gas is seeking a Sr. Corrosion Technician to lead corrosion control activities on storage and transmission assets. You will supervise remediation work, provide technical guidance to technicians, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements through effective data management and field support.

The role requires extensive experience in cathodic protection, coatings, and corrosion technologies, with opportunities to influence procedures and asset integrity across multiple teams.

Qualifications

• Associates or higher in a technical field with math, electrical or science base.
• NACE certifications or equivalent strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage remediation work and orders (install anodes, ICCP systems, repairs).
• Provide technical training and evaluation to junior technicians.
• Maintain corrosion control mapping and records in the company databases.
• Enter facility and compliance data into system of record and generate reports.
• Support regulatory audits and implement corrosion mitigation programs.
