Job summary

Energy Transfer is seeking a corrosion maintenance technician to apply corrosion knowledge across gas and liquid facilities and pipelines. You will design, install, troubleshoot and maintain cathodic protection systems, ensuring compliance with SOPs and regulatory requirements. Strong emphasis on safety, documentation, and proactive corrosion control.

The role includes field inspections, data collection, and collaboration with teams to keep pipelines and facilities safe and reliable.

Qualifications

• Must maintain valid driver’s license in state of residency.
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite products.
• Ability to train other technicians and/or sign off on qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Design, install, operate, inspect and maintain cathodic protection systems within an assigned pipeline segment or plant facilities.
• Maintain knowledge of regulatory requirements and complete required documentation (OSHA, DOT, EPA).
• Investigate corrosive conditions for existing or proposed facilities and ensure corrosion control compliance.
• Perform pipe-to-soil potential surveys, rectifier and bond readings, and record results in the corrosion database.
