Job summary

You will manage a small decision-ready loan pipeline, review appraisals for final approval, stay current with investor guidelines, and handle QC/QA exceptions while maintaining quality.

Qualifications

• High school education.
• 5 years experience in underwriting FNMA/FHLMC/FHA/VA/USDA Rural Housing investor loans.
• FHA DE certification.
• VA SAR certification.
• Documented experience in mortgage loan underwriting.
• General understanding and knowledge of underwriting and compliance guidelines.
• Working knowledge and experience with DeskTop Underwriter System.
• Exceptional organizational skills and ability to efficiently handle workflows.
• Working knowledge of Excel, Word, and other PC applications.
• College coursework preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist retail and TPO originators, processors with questions regarding guidelines, income requirements scenarios.
• Maintain a small pipeline of loans to decision for final approval.
• Review all appraisal types for final approval including issuing NOVs and HFS/USDA conditional requirements.
• Stay updated and attend refresher training for all investor guidelines.
• Review and respond to management for all QC/QA exceptions.
• Associates are expected to perform additional duties as assigned.
