Job summary

Trustmark National Bank is seeking a dedicated Underwriter to support our retail and wholesale platform in loan decisions, underwriting guidance, and ensuring compliance with GSE guidelines. The ideal candidate will possess FHA DE and VA SAR certifications, demonstrate exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills, and have a strong background in customer service.

Qualifications

• 5 years experience in underwriting FNMA/FHLMC/FHA/VA/USDA loans.
• General understanding of underwriting and compliance guidelines.
• Documented experience in mortgage loan underwriting.

Responsibilities

• Assist retail and TPO originators with guideline questions.
• Maintain a small pipeline of loans for final approval.
• Review appraisals for final approval including issuing NOVs.
