Trustmark Bank is seeking an experienced mortgage loan underwriter to support both retail and wholesale platform teams. You will assist originators and processors with guidelines, income scenarios, and underwriting decisions, while maintaining a quality-focused approach.

The role requires 5+ years in underwriting for FNMA/FHLMC, FHA, USDA and VA loans, plus DE certification and VA SAR where applicable. Expect to review appraisals, ensure investor guideline compliance, and manage QA feedback.

Qualificações

• 5 years in underwriting FNMA/FHLMC, FHA, USDA and VA loans
• Documented experience in mortgage loan underwriting
• General understanding and knowledge of underwriting and compliance guidelines
• Working knowledge and experience with DeskTop Underwriter System

Responsabilidades

• Provide assistance to both retail and originators, processors, for questions regarding guidelines and income scenarios
• Maintain a small pipeline of loans to decision for final approval
• Review all appraisal types for final approval including issuing NOVs and HFS/USDA conditional requirements
• Stay updated and attend refresher training for all investor guidelines
• Review and respond to management for all QC/QA exceptions
• Perform any additional duties as assigned
