Job summary

ABB is seeking a senior legal professional in the United States to provide strategic legal guidance and manage complex project contracts across the enterprise. You will counsel on EPC projects, navigate regulatory regimes, and align business goals with legal risk management.

This role emphasizes collaboration with commercial, finance, HR and EHS teams, delivering practical solutions in dynamic environments.

Qualifications

Active U.S. bar admission with 10+ years PQE in international/commercial law.
Expertise in EPC/project contracts, government contracting, IP, and digital law.
Strong organizational, analytical, and negotiation skills.
Experience influencing cross-country, multicultural stakeholders and regions.
Ability to work independently while leading strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities

Provide end-to-end legal support for project activities, including EPC contracts from tender through negotiation, execution, dispute resolution, and closure.
Advise and collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance and protect company interests.
Manage legal risk across competition law, data privacy (GDPR), product liability, employment, investigations, claims, and litigation support.
Contribute to integrity initiatives and broader legal projects, supporting investigations, policy adherence, and participation in regional and global Legal & Integrity teams.
