Job summary

The Mutual Group is seeking a Corporate Counsel to shape and oversee regulatory, compliance and legal areas. The role requires broad expertise across corporate law, employment law, contracts and regulatory compliance, with the ability to advise senior management and cross-functional teams.

The incumbent will manage corporate litigation, intellectual property, marketing review and policy governance, while maintaining high ethical standards and practical risk-based guidance.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Active bar membership in good standing is required.
• Minimum of 5 years of legal experience, with strong corporate law focus.
• Experience in a corporate legal department or regulated industries.
• Experience with employment law is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice across corporate, employment, contract, and regulatory areas.
• Manage corporate litigation and coordinate with outside counsel.
• Oversee intellectual property matters including trademarks and copyrights.
• Review marketing materials and corporate communications for compliance.
• Oversee corporate policy governance and related procedures.
• Review routine commercial agreements and vendor contracts.
