The Mutual Group is seeking a Corporate Counsel to oversee regulatory, compliance, and legal matters across the organization. The role requires handling employment law, corporate litigation, IP, and marketing reviews while partnering with senior leadership to align business goals with legal requirements.

Responsibilities include advising HR on employment issues, managing outside counsel, and guiding policy governance.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school and active bar membership in good standing.
• Minimum of 5 years of legal experience with a focus on corporate law.
• Experience in a corporate legal department or law firm serving regulated industries.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice to HR on employment matters and monitor employment law developments.
• Assist with corporate litigation and coordinate with outside counsel and internal partners.
• Manage IP portfolio, including trademarks, copyrights, and related filings.
• Advise Marketing and Corporate Communications on legal considerations for materials and campaigns.
• Oversee corporate policy governance and update policies as required.
• Review standard commercial agreements and advise on contractual risk and terms.
