Pearson is seeking a Learning Subject Matter Expert to join our Assessment & Qualifications team as a lead editor for educational content. This role emphasizes rigorous copyediting, adherence to style, and collaboration across teams in a remote work environment.

You will guide editorial quality, mentor editors, and leverage AI-assisted tools to enhance content while ensuring accessibility and alignment with standards. Compensation reflects experience and location.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent certification.
Minimum 3 years editorial experience and 2 years in educational assessment.
Strong end‑to‑end copyediting including spelling, grammar, punctuation and terminology.
Familiarity with Chicago, Gregg, Garner’s and other industry style guides.
Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office 365.

Responsibilities

Implements grammar, spelling, usage, punctuation, syntax and style per standards.
Ensures uniformity across assessment components and minimizes mistakes.
Applies client style guidelines and flags deviations for best outcomes.
Acts as lead editor when assigned and coordinates with Content and Program Teams.
Seeks learning opportunities to strengthen editorial expertise and stay current.
