Job summary

You’ll edit for grammar, style, and consistency, applying industry standards and client guidelines while collaborating across editorial and assessment teams.

The role emphasizes end‑to‑end copyediting, quality assurance, and mentoring, with opportunities to engage in AI-enabled editorial workflows and cross‑functional publishing tasks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent certification/on‑the‑job training.
• 3+ years editorial experience and 2+ years educational assessment experience.
• Strong end‑to‑end copyediting: spelling, grammar, punctuation, syntax, and usage.
• Confident in applying major style guides (Chicago, Gregg, Garner’s).

Responsibilities

• Implements grammar, spelling, usage, punctuation, syntax, and style per standards.
• Ensures uniformity across assessment components and reduces errors.
• Adheres to client style guidelines; flags deviations and may create guidelines.
• Understands copyeditor scope and escalates concerns when needed.
• Seeks learning opportunities to strengthen editorial expertise and style knowledge.
