Job summary

Pearson is seeking an experienced editor to lead editorial efforts across assessment content. You will apply grammar, style, and usage standards, ensure consistency, and mentor colleagues.

The role emphasizes collaboration with Editorial, Asset Services, Content, and other teams to maintain high-quality publishing workflows. Responsibilities include supervising editorial scope, coordinating schedules, and leveraging AI tools with rigorous editorial oversight.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent certification/training.
• Minimum three years editorial experience and two years in educational assessment.
• Strong end-to-end copyediting proficiency across spelling, grammar, punctuation and usage.
• Familiar with major style guides (Chicago, Gregg, Garner’s, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Implements grammar, spelling, usage, punctuation, syntax, and style per standards.
• Ensures uniformity across assessment components and identifies errors throughout the day.
• Applies client style guidelines and may modify client style guidelines as needed.
• Assists with staff training and mentoring, and supports cross-department collaboration.
• Leads collegial teamwork, schedules, and project communications with managers.
