Pearson is seeking an experienced editor to lead editorial activities across assessment content. You will enforce style, ensure consistency, and guide junior editors while coordinating with Content, Program Teams, and other departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent certification/on-the-job training.
• Minimum of three years editorial experience and two years in educational assessment.
• Demonstrates strong end-to-end copyediting proficiency in spelling, grammar, punctuation, syntax, and usage.
• Interprets and applies major style and usage references with confidence.

Responsibilities

• Implements grammar, spelling, usage, punctuation, syntax, and style per department, client, and industry standards.
• Ensures uniformity and consistency across assessment components; identifies errors.
• Applies client style guidelines and escalates when deviations are needed for best outcomes.
• Understands copyeditor’s scope and flags concerns as needed.
• Proactively seeks learning opportunities to strengthen editorial expertise.
