Job summary

Pearson is seeking a meticulous editor with a bachelor’s degree in a related field and several years of editorial and assessment experience to join our Assessment & Qualifications team. You will apply major style guides, ensure consistency across components, and collaborate with Content, Asset Services, and CDS to deliver high‑quality, standards‑based material.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent certification/on‑the‑job training.
• Minimum of three years’ editorial experience and two years’ experience in educational assessment.
• Strong end‑to‑end copyediting proficiency: spelling, grammar, punctuation, syntax, diction, and usage.
• Confidence applying major style references (e.g., Chicago Manual of Style, Gregg Reference Manual, Garner’s Modern English Usage).

Responsibilities

• Implements grammar, spelling, usage, punctuation, syntax, and style per department and client standards.
• Ensures uniformity and consistency across assessment components and identifies errors throughout the workday.
• Queries deviations from client style guidelines and may create/modify client style guidelines.
• Leads coordination between Editorial, Asset Services, Content, CDS, and Pearson on projects.
