Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent certification/on-the-job training.
3+ years editorial experience and 2+ years educational assessment experience.
Strong end-to-end copyediting proficiency: spelling, grammar, punctuation, syntax, diction, usage.
Confidently interprets and applies major style and usage references.

Responsibilities

Implements grammar, spelling, usage, punctuation, syntax, and style per department, client, and industry standards.
Ensures uniformity and consistency across assessment components with high accuracy.
Judiciously applies client style guidelines and queries deviations when needed.
Understands the copyeditor’s scope and flags concerns when beyond scope.
Proactively seeks opportunities to strengthen editorial expertise and knowledge of style guides.
