Job summary

The Potomac Hotel, Autograph Collection in Washington, DC is seeking a Senior Convention Services Manager to lead planning, coordination and execution of complex conferences, meetings and group programs. You’ll serve as primary liaison, translate client objectives into detailed operational plans, and ensure seamless cross-department execution.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of progressive hotel leadership experience in convention/events.
• Experience managing large, high-profile conventions in luxury hotels.
• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management preferred; certifications are a plus.
• Strong ability to manage multiple complex programs and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary liaison for assigned conventions from turnover through post-event follow-up.
• Coordinate guest rooms, meeting spaces, catering, AV, transportation and VIP needs.
• Lead BEOs, resumes, schedules and post-event documentation with cross-department coordination.
• Ensure accurate contractual commitments, pricing and space utilization alignments.
• Identify opportunities to enhance revenue while preserving client relationships.
• Provide guidance to junior staff and collaborate across departments.
