Job summary

The Potomac Hotel, Autograph Collection, part of Pyramid Global Hospitality, seeks a Director of Conference Services to lead the CS team in Washington, DC. The role focuses on delivering exceptional events, client relations, and strategic collaboration with Sales and other departments.

You will oversee meeting space, budgets, staffing, and vendor coordination to ensure top-tier service and profitability within a dynamic hotel environment.

Qualifications

• 4 year college degree or 5 years of Conference Services experience in a similar Managerial Role at an upscale Hotel/Resort/Private Club and/or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Solid working knowledge of Social Tables, Delphi, Outlook, or similar programs recommended.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coordinate, and evaluate the CS Department.
• Serve as intermediary between Sales and CS by receiving group turnover, assigning group contracts and following up on duties.
• Oversee the strategic assignment of meeting space to maximize revenue.
• Hire, train and supervise all CS staff.
• Develop monthly forecasts and yearly budgets with Director of Sales & Marketing.
• Maintain SOPs and vendor contracts; communicate with other departments.
