Job summary

E Tech Group in Milpitas, CA seeks a Controls Engineering Manager to lead a growing team of engineers and deliver integrated electrical and control systems across multiple projects in Life Sciences, Mission Critical, and industrial environments. This on-site role requires travel up to 30% and close collaboration with sales, PM, and executives.

The ideal candidate holds a BS in engineering, 8+ years in automation, 3+ years in leadership, and hands-on PLC/HMI programming with Schneider Electric,

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 8+ years in industrial automation / controls integration industry.
• 3+ years managing and leading a team.
• Knowledge of standard engineering practices and procedures.
• Ability to develop PLC and HMI programs in one or more languages (Schneider Electric, AVEVA, Rockwell, etc.).
• Experience with process controls instrumentation.
• Ability to travel up to 30%.
• DNA comprised of collaboration and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Work with Executive Management, Sales, and Marketing to develop a growth plan.
• Lead and mentor a team of engineers and resources for project delivery.
• Design and implement integrated electrical and control systems.
• Collaborate with engineering, design, production, and field service.staff.
• Manage project budget and schedule requirements.
• Drive P&L of the team monthly, quarterly, and annually.
• Specify and configure instrumentation, PLCs, networks, and control panels.
• Design and configure PLC/SCADA networks.
• Generate test procedures and forms.
• Meet with key clients to ensure satisfaction and growth.
