Job summary

Joseph Michaels International in the Atlanta metropolitan area is seeking a seasoned Controls Engineer to troubleshoot, program, and integrate equipment and automation systems. The role focuses on improving safety, reliability, and uptime in a high-volume manufacturing environment using Allen-Bradley PLCs.

You will collaborate across departments, lead or support projects from initiation to FAT, interpret electrical schematics, and mentor junior technicians while maintaining rigorous safety

Qualifications

Four years of technical education or degree, or two years of technical education with related work experience and/or training.
Prefer at least 5 years as a controls engineer, but will consider at least 2 years as a controls engineer.
Requires experience with electrical troubleshooting, PLC/HMI programming, and design of control systems.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot electrical and control systems on production equipment from 24V to 480V.
Perform PLC/HMI programming, FAT testing, and commissioning for projects.
Lead or support manufacturing projects and coordinate activities with internal/external stakeholders.
