Horan Hiring Solutions, LLC is seeking a Controls Engineer II to own the full lifecycle of custom automation systems. You will design control architectures, program PLCs, and integrate robotics with a focus on safety and reliability.

The role requires extensive experience with Rockwell/Allen-Bradley platforms, AutoCAD Electrical, and travel up to 15% for site support. A strong problem-solving mindset is essential.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Automation/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent practical industry experience.
• 5+ years of direct industry experience designing, building, and programming custom industrial automation systems.
• Experience with NEC, NFPA 79, and RIA TR R15.06.
• Experience with Rockwell Automation / Allen-Bradley platforms (Studio 5000, FactoryTalk View).
• AutoCAD Electrical competency.
• Experience with major industrial robot brands (FANUC, ABB, Yaskawa, KUKA) is preferred.
• Strong root-cause analysis, critical thinking, and troubleshooting capabilities.
• Willingness to travel up to 15% domestically and internationally.

Aufgaben

• Design and implement control architectures using PLCs and HMIs.
• Integrate robotics, vision systems, VFDs, and servo applications into control logic.
• Configure networks (DeviceNet, Ethernet/IP, Profibus, Profinet).
• Create electrical panel schematics and BOMs using AutoCAD Electrical.
• Develop robot paths and offline programming.
• Develop reusable code libraries and design best practices.
• Coordinate system power-up, validation, and debugging.
• Provide on-site commissioning and client handover.
• Mentor entry-level controls engineers.
