Job summary

Raizan Solutions LLC is seeking a Controls Engineer II to manage the full lifecycle of custom automation projects, from concept through on-site commissioning. You will design electrical systems, develop software architectures, integrate robotics, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance at customer facilities.

The role requires expertise in Rockwell/Allen-Bradley platforms, AutoCAD Electrical, and experience with other major vendors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical/automation/mechanical engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of direct industry experience designing and programming custom automation systems.
• Experience with industrial codes NEC, NFPA 79, and RIA TR R15.06.
• Experience with Rockwell/Allen-Bradley Studio 5000 and FactoryTalk View.
• Experience with Siemens TIA Portal, Omron, Mitsubishi preferred.
• Proficient in AutoCAD Electrical.
• Experience with major robot brands (FANUC, ABB, Yaskawa, KUKA) preferred.
• Strong root-cause analysis, critical thinking and structured troubleshooting.
• Willingness to travel up to 15% domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Develop machine control software architectures using PLCs and HMI.
• Integrate robotics, vision, VFDs, and servo applications into control logic.
• Configure network interfaces across DeviceNet, Ethernet/IP, Profibus, Profinet.
• Create electrical schematics, layouts and BOMs using AutoCAD Electrical.
• Generate pneumatic and hydraulic system diagrams and IO maps.
• Program robot paths and offline programming for deployment.
• Develop reusable code libraries and best practices.
• Review customer specs to ensure hardware and software meet requirements.
• Coordinate power-up, validation and on-site commissioning.
• Provide on-site startup assistance and client handover documentation.
• Conduct safety assessments and ensure safety compliance.
• Mentor entry-level controls engineers and share programming/wiring knowledge.
• Communicate with customers and collaborate with Mechanical, PM, Sales teams.
