Progressive Machine and Design is seeking an Automation Controls Software Engineer II to provide controls programming, debugging, and site-installation of turnkey custom automation equipment.

The role emphasizes independent work on medium-sized projects, reviewing customer requirements, and programming with Rockwell/Siemens/Omron platforms; involves device-driver creation and test at customer sites.

Qualifications

• BS in EE, EET, Mechatronics or related field or demonstrated equivalent experience.
• 5–10 years experience with 3+ of the following: PLC, HMI, robot programming, vision systems, industrial protocols.
• Experience with Rockwell, Siemens, Omron systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Program controls and HMIs for turnkey automation equipment.
• Debug hardware and software, and commission at customer sites.
• Participate in Factory Acceptance and Site Acceptance Tests.
