Job summary
Sora Resource Group is seeking a Controls Engineer II to drive the full engineering lifecycle of custom automation systems. You will design control architectures, program PLCs and HMIs, and lead on-site commissioning across customer facilities.
The role requires strong electrical design, software architecture, and experience with Rockwell/Allen‑Bradley platforms, AutoCAD Electrical, and robotics integration. Domestic/international travel up to 15% is expected.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years designing, building, and programming custom industrial automation systems.
- Experience with NEC, NFPA 79, and RIA TR R15.06 electrical codes.
Responsibilities
- Design and program control systems, including PLC/HMI architectures.
- Integrate robotics, vision systems, VFDs, and servo applications.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams for installation, commissioning, and support.
- Conduct safety assessments and ensure compliance with standards.
- Provide on-site startup, training, and handover documentation.
