Job summary

Workforce Recruiter is seeking a Controls Engineer for our southwest suburban Atlanta facility. The role involves troubleshooting, programming, and integrating equipment in an Allen Bradley PLC environment across stamping, zinc die casting, plating/finishing, and assembly processes.

You will lead projects, improve safety, efficiency, and uptime, and collaborate with multiple departments to drive continuous improvement. Relocation assistance available.

Qualifications

• Four years of technical education or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Prefer at least 5 years as a controls engineer, but will consider 2+ years with relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain relationships with Maintenance, Toolroom, Manufacturing Engineering, Technology Team, and Production to support operations.
• Electrical troubleshooting on production equipment from 24V to 480V circuits and diagnose faults.
• Provide controls engineering expertise for projects, including design, PLC/HMI programming, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
• Lead projects by coordinating activities with internal and external stakeholders.
• Prepare technical reports and documentation for FAT, energy and process optimization.
• Ensure compliance with OHSA and internal EHS standards.
