Job summary
ASHFORD CONNEX, LLC is seeking a seasoned Controls Engineer for our southwest Atlanta metro facility. The role involves troubleshooting, programming, and integrating electrical and control systems across stamping, plating, finishing, and assembly operations.
Responsibilities include leading projects, commissioning, FATs, and hands-on PLC/HMI development in an Allen-Bradley environment. Relocation support and a competitive package are available.
Qualifications
- Four years of technical education or degree, or two years plus experience; preferred 5+ years as controls engineer
- Experience with Allen-Bradley PLC environments and robotics integration
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical and control systems across 24V to 480V
- Experience with design drafting in AutoCAD or EPLAN
- Strong debugging, FATs, and safety/regulatory awareness
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, program, and integrate equipment and automation systems across departments
- Lead electrical troubleshooting on production equipment and diagnose faults
- Provide controls engineering expertise for projects: design, programming, commissioning
- Coordinate project activities with internal and external stakeholders
- Prepare technical reports, FATs, and compliance documentation
- Maintain OHSA/safety compliance and EHS standards
