Sammons Industrial, an employee-owned family of businesses, is seeking a Sr. Controls/Automation Engineer to lead our automation team.

You will guide engineering decisions, design controls architectures, and work closely with sales and customers on new opportunities. This role blends hands-on engineering with leadership, and you’ll mentor engineers while ensuring projects meet safety, quality, and customer requirements.

Formación

• 7+ years in controls engineering, preferably in conveyor systems or warehouse automation.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs, HMI, and AutoCAD.

Responsabilidades

• Lead controls engineering across multiple projects, from system design and PLC/HMI programming to commissioning, testing, and go-live.
• Evaluate and guide technical decisions while prioritizing safety, quality and customer needs.
• Mentor engineers and coordinate with sales, project managers, and install teams to deliver successful go-lives.
