Bread Financial is seeking a Senior Controllership Analyst to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data, manage reporting, and drive process improvements. The role partners with auditors, regulators, and business units to deliver precise financial insights and strengthen internal controls.

The position emphasizes close collaboration, data-driven recommendations, and ongoing mentoring of junior analysts within a dynamic finance team. Hybrid work options are available and travel is limited.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a business-related field.
• 5-8 years of experience in accounting, finance or audit.
• Experience with SEC reporting and regulatory financial reporting is preferred.
• CPA or advanced degree is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform key reconciliations, journal entries, and variance analysis for close.
• Conduct in-depth financial analysis and present insights to leadership.
• Identify inefficiencies and participate in system enhancements and automation.
• Prepare financial statements in line with GAAP/IFRS and regulatory reporting.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistency in reporting.
• Serve as liaison with auditors and support regulatory compliance.
