Bread Financial seeks a Senior Controllership Analyst to ensure accurate financial data, manage reporting, and support accounting functions. The role partners with auditors and regulators, driving improvements in controls and processes.

The position emphasizes data-driven insights, collaboration across business units, and mentorship of junior staff in a dynamic, hybrid work environment.

Formación

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field and 5–8 years of experience.
• Master’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business-related field preferred.
• CPA certification preferred.
• Experience in financial services or banking with credit card lending exposure preferred.
• Experience with large-scale databases, financial systems, or data-intensive applications.
• Experience with PeopleSoft, Essbase, and Excel; ERP tools may be considered.
• Experience supporting SEC/regulatory reporting.

Responsabilidades

• Perform reconciliations, journal entries, and variance analysis to support the closing process.
• Manage closing activities including accruals and adjustments.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial data to improve reporting accuracy.
• Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and risks; develop reports for leadership.
• Identify inefficiencies and implement system enhancements and finance transformation projects.
• Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements per GAAP/IFRS; support regulatory reporting.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and mentor junior analysts.
• Serve as liaison with internal and external auditors and support regulatory processes.
