Job summary

Brown Edwards is seeking a Controller to join our team on-site at one of our offices, with hybrid or remote options. The Controller will oversee month-end close, internal controls, and financial analysis for CAS clients.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s in Accounting, 5+ years of controllership experience, and strong technical accounting skills. CPA is preferred; we offer competitive benefits and professional development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required.
• CPA is preferred.
• 5+ years of accounting or controllership experience.
• Strong technical accounting skills and advanced financial analysis.
• Experience working with executive-level clients.

Responsibilities

• Oversees accounting functions for assigned clients, ensuring accurate month-end close and financial reporting.
• Designs, implements, and monitors internal controls and accounting processes.
• Prepares or reviews complex financial statements, cash flow forecasts, budgets, and variance analyses.
• Advises clients on accounting policies, process improvements, and financial best practices.
• Collaborates with CAS Managers and senior team members to address complex accounting issues.
• Supports long-term financial planning, KPIs, and financial modeling.
• Reviews work prepared by senior team members and provides technical mentoring.
• Communicates financial insights directly with client executives.
