Job summary

Legion Claims Solutions is seeking an Accounting Controller to oversee day-to-day accounting across multiple service-based entities and support strategic financial planning.

The role focuses on accurate financial reporting, GAAP compliance, and internal controls while partnering with the CFO on budgeting, forecasting, and operational improvements. In person, Baton Rouge, LA. This position offers growth, exposure to multi-entity consolidation, and leadership of an accounting team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred).
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in the service related industry.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and multi-entity financial management.
• Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks or similar).
• Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the daily accounting operations for multiple companies.
• Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings.
• Consolidate financial statements across entities.
• Assist the CFO with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Maintain and enforce internal controls to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Work with external tax advisors as needed.
• Supervise accounting staff and support ongoing development.
• Implement process improvements and financial systems enhancements.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable regulations.
• Prepare ad hoc financial reports and support strategic decision-making.
