Job summary

LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a growing Phoenix-area organization to recruit an experienced Controller to lead its accounting department. This hands-on role oversees the full accounting function within a multi-entity, multi-location environment.

Responsibilities include leading general ledger, close processes, consolidated financial statements, ASC 842 lease accounting, audits, internal controls, and the development of the accounting team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Experience leading a full accounting department.
• Strong ASC 842 lease accounting experience.
• Experience with multi-entity accounting, consolidations, and full-cycle operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, compliance, and financial reporting.
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
• Oversee consolidated financial statements and ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP.
• Manage ASC 842 lease accounting, including related assets, liabilities, and disclosures.
• Lead the annual external audit and coordinate with independent auditors.
• Strengthen accounting policies, internal controls, and reporting processes.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team.
• Support acquisitions, integrations, system initiatives, and process improvements.
