Job summary

NextDeavor seeks an experienced accounting leader to own the close, cash forecasting, and financial reporting, partnering with the CFO to influence strategy. You will manage a small accounting leadership team, working onsite or hybrid, with openness to remote.

This role drives audit readiness, internal controls, and ASC 606 guidance, while extending NetSuite through automation and AI to support growing transaction volume across multi-channel operations.

Qualifications

• Experience at scale in DTC or retail accounting.
• Fast, clean month-end close with documented processes.
• Experience leading a small accounting team.
• Experience owning cash forecasting and cash management.
• Familiarity with ASC 606, inventory and COGS accounting.

Responsibilities

• Own the close. Run month-end end to end with documented processes.
• Own cash forecasting and management for liquidity planning.
• Prepare monthly financial statements, disclosures, variance analysis.
• Design and implement a SOX-style internal control framework.
• Lead audit readiness and manage PBC across all areas.
• Own revenue recognition and tax nexus considerations.
• Scale NetSuite with automation and AI for growing volume.
• Lead and develop the accounting team.
