DeWinter Group in New York is seeking a seasoned Controller to own the company’s finances, overseeing all accounting operations and building scalable processes to support rapid growth in a dynamic startup environment.

You will manage AP/AR, billing, revenue recognition (ASC 606), monthly closes, audits, and ERP implementations (NetSuite/QuickBooks), while partnering with Sales, Legal, and Operations. CPA preferred; hybrid NY role with strong collaboration and autonomy.

Competenze

• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 3+ years managing accounting processes and month-end close.
• Deep expertise in GAAP, revenue recognition (ASC 606), and financial reporting standards.
• Proven experience managing ERP and billing platforms such as NetSuite, QuickBooks, Ramp, Stripe, or Aleph.
• Strong operational insight with a hands-on approach to implementing scalable workflows in a startup environment.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Mansioni

• Lead end-to-end accounting processes, including AP, AR, billing, revenue recognition (ASC 606), and cash management.
• Manage monthly close cycles, general ledger reconciliations, journal entries, and GAAP-compliant financial statements.
• Collaborate with external firms on audits, tax filings, and internal controls for accuracy and compliance.
• Optimize and implement accounting software and ERP systems such as NetSuite or QuickBooks, plus billing platforms like Stripe or Aleph.
• Partner with Sales, Legal, and Operations on contract management and revenue recognition for seamless workflow.
• Oversee bespoke client invoices, multi-tiered billing, and collections for Fortune 500 clients.
• Support strategic financial planning, process improvement, and automation initiatives to scale growth.
