Job summary

Catch Creation, LLC is seeking a Controller to lead a major finance infrastructure upgrade, including transitioning from cash basis to accrual accounting and migrating from QuickBooks Online to NetSuite. You will oversee the audit preparation and the full audit process.

You will own month-end and year-end close, GL, AP/AR, payroll, and internal controls, while delivering timely financial reports to the CEO in a remote, globally distributed environment.

Qualifications

• Experience transitioning a company from cash basis to accrual accounting.
• NetSuite migration or implementation experience.
• Experience coordinating with an external audit firm on audit preparation and execution.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a Controller or senior role.
• CPA designation (or local equivalent) preferred.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP.

Responsibilities

• Lead transition from cash basis to accrual accounting, including restating historicals and rebuilding the chart of accounts.
• Own migration from QuickBooks Online to NetSuite with external consultant collaboration.
• Lead pre-audit work with the external audit firm.
• Own and manage the formal audit process from start to finish.
• Oversee month-end and year-end close and ensure timely financial statements.
• Manage all aspects of GL, AP, AR, and payroll.
• Build and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard assets.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to CEO and leadership.
• Identify and implement scalable finance processes.
