Rolls-Royce plc in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Senior Control Systems Engineer to own control system functions for aerospace programs. The role involves leading a small team, mentoring engineers, and delivering technical solutions that meet stringent safety and quality standards.

The ideal candidate holds an engineering degree with 5+ years of product development experience, and has hands-on experience with MATLAB/Simulink and model-based systems engineering. Occasional travel is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant engineering field.
• 5+ years of product development/engineering experience preferred.
• Experience with model-based design and safety-critical systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop electrical, electronics and mechatronics control system requirements, design and verification artifacts for safety-critical apps.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure technical capability and quality.
• Provide engineering guidance, mentorship and documentation across the team.
• Review engineering work products for quality, completeness and traceability.
• Travel up to 10% between Rolls-Royce sites and to client locations.
