Job summary

Rolls-Royce is seeking a Senior Control System Engineer in Indianapolis, IN for a hybrid role combining remote and in-office work. The role requires a degree in Engineering (Bachelors, Masters or PhD) with 2+ years of product development experience, and U.S. citizenship or permanent residency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical or Computer Engineering (2+ years product development experience) or Master’s/PhD in related field.
• 2+ years product development engineering experience (preferred)
• Experience with FAA or military qualification of airborne systems (preferred).
• Model-based systems development using MATLAB/Simulink (desired).
• Experience with SysML modelling and Cameo (MagicDraw) (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with teams and customers to define control system requirements and verification artifacts.
• Lead and mentor a small team of engineers to meet standards and quality objectives.
• Provide engineering process guidance and training to peers.
• Prepare technical documentation and ensure completeness.
• Resolve complex problems using accumulated technical knowledge and experience.
• Communicate complex technical ideas clearly within a global engineering context.
