Job summary

Rolls-Royce is seeking a Senior Control System Engineer in Indianapolis, IN with a hybrid work schedule. You will own control system functions, mentor a small team, and collaborate across a global engineering community. Travel up to 20% between sites and up to 10% other travel is possible.

The role involves guiding technical outcomes to standards, supporting full life cycle development, and helping drive innovation on flagship programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical or Computer Engineering with 2+ years of product development engineering experience
• Master’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical or Computer Engineering
• PhD in Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical or Computer Engineering
• U.S. Citizen eligibility requirement

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with other teams and customers to develop electrical, electronics and mechatronics control system requirements, design and verification work products for mission critical applications as per ARP4754A and DO-178C guidance
• Work with a cross-functional team to establish high standards of technical capability, quality and professionalism
• Provide and support engineering process guidance and training
• Prepare and review engineering work products for technical documentation, quality and completeness
• Resolve complex problems through applied technical experience and knowledge
• Develop and communicate complex technical ideas clearly and concisely
