Job summary

JPMorgan Chase is seeking a Sr. Associate Control Manager within the Business Banking organization to identify and mitigate compliance and operational risks. You will collaborate with executives to design control strategies and implement proactive risk management across key processes.

You will oversee risk assessments, leverage data analytics and automation, and drive improvements through new technology while ensuring regulatory compliance and effective stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in financial services with experience in controls, audit, quality assurance, or operational risk management.
• Risk Management & Controls independently applies risk management practices; escalates as needed.
• Change Management: uses resources to minimize disruption and supports stakeholders through moderate change.
• Influence: uses data to persuade; collaborates across the business; escalates when necessary.
• Internal Stakeholder Management: builds relationships, communicates proactively, adapts to needs.
• Communication & Presentation Skills: creates and delivers presentations, writes executive summaries, summarizes discussions.

Responsibilities

• Partner with and advise stakeholders to analyze risks and controls across the business, proactively find gaps or new risks, and identify root causes to advise solutions.
• Design, set up, and monitor controls using automation, AI, and data analytics to build a proactive risk culture.
• Review and provide program data (such as KRI/KPI), use analytics and visualization tools, and create reports to support business decisions.
• Take active ownership of Risk & Control Self-Assessments by leading process walkthroughs and mapping exercises with different teams.
• Lead or support control program projects, ensuring regulatory compliance and addressing key risks, while identifying and driving improvements through new technology.
• Bring in skills like digital risk management, agile ways of working, and automation to keep the organization moving forward.
