Job summary

Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts seeks an Associate Director to lead the Contracts Development & Contracts Delivery team. This role coordinates with senior leaders to ensure compliant contract documents for all products and accounts, while driving strategic objectives and regulatory adherence.

The position manages a team of analysts, focusing on development, governance, and end-to-end delivery of contract processes, including annual renewals and amendments, within a hybrid work model.

Qualifications

• Understanding of health insurance laws, regulations, and contract lifecycles.
• Ability to lead Senior Managers and Contract Managers in product development and contract forms.
• Maintain relationships with internal leaders and regulators (DOI, CMS) and act decisively.
• Strong communication, presentation, and strategic planning skills for negotiation.
• Agile mindset to meet timelines while ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Support development and growth of analysts and team performance.

Responsibilities

• Define strategic direction and goals for the business unit.
• Support strategy execution with timely input and analysis.
• Represent the GRA Division on new state or federal mandates.
• Oversee Contracts Development & Contracts Delivery end-to-end.
• Ensure timely completion of filings (SERFF, HIOS, RBIS).
• Provide documentation for Medex Rate Filing, HMO License Renewal, etc.
