Job summary

Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts Inc. is seeking an Associate Director to lead the Contracts Development & Contracts Delivery team, ensuring end-to-end management of member and account contracts and compliant benefits language.

The role requires 7–10 years of management experience, 3–5+ years in contract administration, and a BA/BS with preferred law or master’s degree. Massachusetts regulatory exposure is highly valued, with a focus on healthcare policy and timely filings.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years of management experience, healthcare field preferred.
• 3-5+ years of experience in contract administration, including product development and implementation.
• BA/BS degree required; law degree or master’s degree preferred.
• Direct experience with Massachusetts state government/regulatory experience preferred.
• Massachusetts healthcare knowledge strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Contracts Development & Contracts Delivery team to ensure end-to-end deliverables.
• Lead Senior Managers and Contracts Managers in coordinating new products and account benefit programs.
• Ensure contracts for member and account forms comply with health insurance laws and regulations.
• Foster relationships with internal leaders and external regulatory agencies (DOI, CMS).
• Drive documentation and reporting for annual filings (SERFF, HIOS, RBIS), and other corporate filings.
