Job summary

The New Mexico Department of Public Safety (DPS), Administrative Services Division, seeks a Senior Contracts Coordinator to manage contracts and procurements from inception to completion. You will work with the Chief Procurement Officer and Chief Financial Officer, ensuring compliance with procurement rules and efficient life-cycle management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business or Accounting and Finance; or related field with 5 years of procurement/finance experience substituting education.
• Experience with planning, developing, and implementing procurement methods and contractual agreements.
• Experience developing and delivering guidance or training for varied audiences.
• Experience organizing meetings with customers for program success.
• Experience recommending policy and procedure changes to improve outcomes.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; knowledge of procurement rules.

Responsibilities

• Process contractual agreements and procurements from inception to completion.
• Coordinate with Chief Procurement Officer and Chief Financial Officer on complex needs.
• Specify goods/services with subject matter experts and select procurement methods.
• Develop and refine program procedures for contract lifecycle management and inquiries.
• Collaborate with internal staff and external vendors/stakeholders.
