Job summary

New Mexico Department of Justice seeks a procurement liaison to bridge agency divisions with the Procurement Unit, ensuring timely, compliant procurement support and process improvements. The role focuses on solicitations, contract drafting, and coordinating with divisions to meet policies and statutes.

The ideal candidate brings knowledge of NM procurement rules, strong communication, and teamwork, with a Bachelor’s degree and substantial related experience.

Qualifications

• Knowledge and experience applying the New Mexico State Procurement Code and MAPs.
• Proficient in SHARE and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong attention to detail skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Excellent customer service, including experience working with vendors and internal/external customers.
• Ability to work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and issue procurement solicitations.
• Contract drafting, processing, completion, tracking, renewals/amendments.
• Support to Procurement Manager in formal procurement processes as assigned.
• Analyses proposals and supports evaluation teams.
• Monitors procurement compliance against statute, rules, guidelines.
• Assists in tracking and division communications.
• Collaborates with State Purchasing Division as required.
• Trains agency staff on procurement standard procedures and conducts process reviews.
