Job summary

Lexicon is seeking a Contracts Manager to oversee all contractual aspects of sub-contractor construction contracts and material/equipment procurement. You will ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and construction standards, and handle contract development, administration, and closeout including claims and disputes.

The role requires coordinating with project teams, legal, and finance to manage change orders, risk, and vendor performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Law, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Minimum five years of experience in contract management; preferably in capital projects or construction.
• Construction purchasing experience required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts for various construction disciplines (e.g., piling, civil foundations, structural steel erection, piping, electrical).
• Draft, review, and formalize contract annexes for project requirements (liquidated damages, incentives, performance guarantees).
• Lead bidding process for construction and equipment procurement; bid leveling and negotiations.
• Collaborate with Project Management, Construction Management, legal, and others on contract and procurement issues.
• Manage change orders, amendments, and close out.
• Monitor contractor performance for scope, schedule, budget compliance.
• Manage claims, disputes, and conflict resolution with Project Management, Legal, Finance.
• Provide routine reporting on contract status, risk, compliance.
• Perform other administrative duties related to contract management.
