Job summary

GE Aerospace, a division of General Electric, is seeking an experienced Senior Contracts Manager to oversee civil and U.S. Government contracts across the full lifecycle, from proposal strategy and negotiation through award, execution, and sustainment.

The role requires handling complex development, production, non‑disclosure, and sustainment contracts with cross‑border considerations and alignment with international and domestic operations. Location is flexible, with hours matching Eastern Time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher; JD or advanced degree is a plus.
• 6+ years of contract formation and execution across civil, U.S. Government, and international contracting environments.
• Expertise in FAR, especially Part 12 and Part 15, plus DFARS and export controls ITAR/EAR.

Responsibilities

• Serve as contracts subject matter expert across proposal, negotiation, award, and post‑award execution.
• Primary point of contact between GE Aerospace and civil/government customers for contractual matters.
• Provide end‑to‑end contract administration including drafting, reviewing T&Cs, leading negotiations, advising on risk and compliance.
• Coordinate with finance, program management, engineering, sales, and legal to align commitments with execution.
• Guide proposal teams through solicitation assessment including FAR/DFARS compliance and export control considerations.
• Monitor contract compliance throughout the lifecycle ensuring obligations and deliverables are met.
• Participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives across contracts organizations.
