Job description

The Senior Contract Specialist is responsible for providing contract and compliance support to the Motion Control Systems division of Regal Rexnord Corporation's Automation and Motion Control segment.

The Motion Control Systems division has global locations in the United States, Europe, and APAC, and manufactures and sells precision motors and drives under the Kollmorgen brand. Kollmorgen products serve industries such as Aerospace & Defense, Factory Automation, Robotics, and Medical.

In partnership with the Segment General Counsel, Automation and Motion Control, this role will manage and oversee the contract lifecycle for Motion Control Systems, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and legal requirements. The role involves negotiating, drafting, reviewing, and administering contracts to support organizational objectives. The Senior Contract Specialist will work closely with various departments to ensure contracts are executed efficiently and effectively.

While supporting the Motion Control Systems business, this role will also have strong connectivity to the Regal Rexnord corporate legal and compliance teams to promote thought partnership and ensure alignment with organization-wide contract policies and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Contract Management: Oversee the entire contract lifecycle, from initiation to execution and renewal.
2. Negotiation: Lead contract negotiations with vendors, suppliers, and third parties, with support from the Segment General Counsel, to secure favorable terms.
3. Drafting and Reviewing: Draft, review, and revise contracts to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with legal and organizational standards.
4. Compliance: Ensure contracts comply with relevant laws, regulations, and policies, especially focusing on government contract compliance (FAR/DFARS). Monitor regulatory developments and support compliance processes.
5. Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential contract-related risks.
6. Collaboration: Work with internal stakeholders across legal, finance, and procurement to align contract terms with organizational goals. Collaborate with other divisions and partner with the corporate legal team on legal initiatives.
7. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of all contracts and related documentation.
8. Training and Mentorship: Train stakeholders on key contract and compliance topics.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Law, or related field; Master’s degree or professional certifications (e.g., CPCM, CFCM) preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of five years in contract management, preferably in Aerospace and Defense.
• Skills: Strong negotiation, communication, attention to detail, organizational skills, business acumen, proficiency with contract management software and MS Office, and ability to work independently and in teams. Experience with contract repositories and process improvement is preferred.

Working Conditions:

• Location: Radford, VA or Milwaukee, WI
• Environment: Office setting with occasional travel
• Hours: Standard business hours with flexibility for deadlines

Compensation:

$65K-$100K, dependent on location, experience, and education. Candidates must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
