Job description

The Senior Contract Specialist is responsible for providing contract and compliance support to the Motion Control Systems division of Regal Rexnord Corporation's Automation and Motion Control segment.

The Motion Control Systems division has global locations in the United States, Europe, and APAC. It manufactures and sells precision motors and drives under the Kollmorgen brand, serving industries such as Aerospace & Defense, Factory Automation, Robotics, and Medical.

This role will partner with the Segment General Counsel to manage and oversee the contract lifecycle for Motion Control Systems, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and legal requirements. Responsibilities include negotiating, drafting, reviewing, and administering contracts to support organizational objectives, working closely with various departments for efficient contract execution.

While supporting the Motion Control Systems business, this role will also connect with Regal Rexnord's corporate legal and compliance teams to align with organization-wide contract policies and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Contract Management: Oversee the entire contract lifecycle from initiation to renewal.
2. Negotiation: Lead contract negotiations with vendors, suppliers, and third parties, supported by the Segment General Counsel.
3. Drafting and Reviewing: Draft, review, and revise contracts to ensure accuracy and compliance.
4. Compliance: Ensure contracts comply with applicable laws, regulations, and policies, including government contract standards (FAR/DFARS). Monitor regulatory updates and support compliance processes.
5. Risk Management: Identify and mitigate contractual risks.
6. Collaboration: Work with internal stakeholders across legal, finance, procurement, and other divisions, and represent Motion Control Systems in cross-divisional negotiations. Partner with corporate legal to implement legal and compliance initiatives.
7. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and current contract documentation.
8. Training and Mentorship: Educate stakeholders on key contract and compliance topics.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Law, or related field; Master’s or professional certifications (e.g., CPCM, CFCM) preferred.
• Experience: Minimum five years in contract management, preferably in Aerospace & Defense contracts.
• Skills: Strong negotiation, communication, organizational, and analytical skills; experience with contract management software; ability to work independently and collaboratively; business acumen; experience managing contract repositories; process improvement mindset.

Working Conditions:

• Location: Radford, VA or Milwaukee, WI
• Environment: Office setting with occasional travel
• Hours: Standard hours with flexibility for deadlines

Compensation: $65K-$100K, dependent on experience, location, and qualifications. Candidates must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
