Job summary

Pearson is seeking a senior product manager/strategist to lead embedded content build and standards. You will work alongside content BU teams to define taxonomies, metadata schemas, and production workflows, with a focus on AI-driven content quality and measurable outcomes.

You will guide cross-functional teams on content strategy, planning, and craft, and you will help build a community around best practices, training, and career development in content engineering.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in product management for content or publishing.
• Hands-on ownership of content standards: taxonomy and metadata.
• Experience with authoring, production, and delivery platforms (CMS/DAM/LCMS).
• Built and shipped substantive content systems with AI tooling.
• Experience in SVPG-style empowered product teams and outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Embed standards spine in real business unit work.
• Redesign and shorten production workflows with teams.
• Partner with content leaders through content strategy and craft.
• Guide teams to high-quality plans and content strategy tied to learner jobs.
• Design and deliver training anchored in real content problems.
• Contribute to content job family and community of practice.
• Build AI fluency across content talent with practical applications.
• Identify manual tasks for automation and prove value before scaling.
• Add telemetry and human-in-the-loop design to AI-assisted generation and QA.
• Maintain a clear POV on AI in content work and its limits.
• Model collaboration with product, engineering, design, and editorial.
