Job summary

Pearson is seeking a senior/ Principal Product Manager to guide content planning, standards, and AI-enabled workflows across the Content Excellence initiative. You will work alongside content business units to design taxonomy, metadata, and production platforms, driving measurable improvements in quality and efficiency.

The role requires hands-on leadership in content systems, strategy, and cross-functional collaboration with editorial, engineering, and design teams.

Qualifications

• Seven or more years of product management experience with depth in content, publishing, or content platforms.
• Hands-on ownership of content standards: taxonomy and metadata design, quality frameworks, structured content, and measurement.
• Experience with authoring, production, and delivery platforms (CMS/DAM/LCMS) and at least one consolidation or migration you delivered.
• Built and shipped substantive content systems work as owning PM, including with current AI tooling.

Responsibilities

• Embed content standards in real business-unit work; achieve 95% data accuracy.
• Redesign production workflows, removing handoffs and rework.
• Partner with Pearson content leaders to align strategy, planning, and craft.
• Design training anchored in real content problems and contribute to career architecture.
• Build AI fluency across the content talent base and prototype automation for high-value tasks.
• Coach other PMs and leaders, balancing hands-on work with coaching.
